5 Tips to Boost Your Visibility on Social Media

Are you showing up consistently online?

Oh you’re not? Well, you’re not alone!

SO MANY online service providers are struggling to show up at all, let alone be consistent with it.

So I put together a list of tips to help you get visible so you can attract the RIGHT clients and start bringing in more cash to your business! (Check out my Instagram videos where I go even deeper into each tip)

Visibility Tip #1: Start Small

Choose ONE social media platform first to get really good at before moving on to something else.

Choosing the one you’re already comfortable with is a great place to start.

Visibility Tip #2: Learn the language of your ideal clients

Identify who your ideal clients are

 and where they “hang out”

Start talking to them

Ask questions in groups to learn what their pain points are and how they describe their situations.

Find out if they understand what you do or if they will need more education around it in order to realize they need your services

Keep what they say organized and accessible

Create a spreadsheet of what your ideal clients say so you can easily refer to it when writing content. Add a tab of keywords for quick reference!

Refer to testimonials and client feedback forms to help you describe the transformation you provide

Visibility Tip #3: Confidently Going Live on Social Media

Practice Going Live

  • Practice in front of a mirror
  • Record yourself in zoom
  • Set up a private Facebook Group to become comfortable with the tech
  • Have notes next to you to keep you on track
  • Don’t practice TOO MUCH! More than one or two rounds of practice will turn you into a robot.

What makes you feel confident?

    • Makeup
    • Clothes
    • Testimonials
    • Chatting with a really supportive friend or family member

What would you do to prepare for talking to people in person?

Even though I’m behind a camera, I always use mouthwash before I go live. Something about this ritual boosts my confidence

Visibility Tip #4: Content Planning

Share a mix of posts each week

Your posts should include value/expert tips, your story, sales, and fun/engagement

Share your life and what you’re working on

Let followers get a peak at who you are and behind the scenes of your biz to really connect with them and create stronger relationships

Choose a weekly or monthly theme and call to action

Let’s say you have a new freebie on best yoga positions for people who sit at a desk all day. You have decided to get as many of your ideal clients as possible to sign up next week, but you don’t want every post to be “sign up for my freebie!” So, center the content you create for the week around the freebie by using a mix of post types…

  • tell your audience how it has helped others
  • give them a taste of what they’re signing up for with a video of one of the poses
  • let them know that you have been where they are by sharing your story and that you found a way to solve the problem

Visibility Tip #5: Having the Right Mindset to Go Live + Be Consistent

Start with what you’re most passionate about

Choose the thing that you could talk endlessly about, without even needing to refer to notes (full permission to still have notes to keep you on track!)

Curb overthinking with a quick meditation session

I was so nervous when I started going live, but the thing that helped me THE MOST was meditating right beforehand. Just 5 minutes of relaxing my mind calmed my nerves and helped me focus so I wasn’t tripping over my words once I hit that “GO LIVE” button

I still do this before interviews, coaching sessions, and when giving a workshop or masterclass!

Be consistent, plan ahead, but be kind to yourself

Sometimes coming up with content is so easy… but sometimes it’s REALLY HARD! Last week was pretty hard for me. Normally, I plan and schedule my content a month in advance, but the planning session for this month didn’t happen until a few days ago! Which means last week I woke up every morning thinking “what the hell am I going to post today?!”

It was a struggle and an inefficient hustle… until Thursday. Suddenly, Thursday evening I had content ideas pouring out of me and that continued through the weekend. And then DUH! I realized where I’m at in my menstrual cycle and it all made sense. If you can track your cycle to find out when you’re going to be the most creative and productive, I HIGHLY recommend it!
